The Scottish pastry chef instructor I had made me make Islay cakes one time. Good, but funnily enough, contained no whiskey.

Understandable. I think there's enough whiskey to drink that they don't worry about eating it, too.

That said, sausages fried in whiskey are excellent, but it'd be sacrilege to use a single malt Scotch for this.
